70's was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this set of stairs. If I don't remember all wrong it was located down towards some garage close to the Tower Bridge area in London.
Hardcore colors and superb lightning, I dig. As I would've done in the 70's!
First thing which really attracted was the angle shooting. I definitely like these kind of shots. Wide angle rules here. I like the perspective and the global yellow warm tone. The way you worked out the depth of field and sharpness gived a feeling of insecurity… kinda like this hotel alley in Stephen King's Shining, both scary and uncomfortable, but at the same time, the will to discover what's lies beyond, at the top the stairs … I imagine a bunch of teen students either trying to look what's up ahead or trying to escape some psycho maniacal killer lol. That's a pic which definitely works for me and that's my bottom line.
This shot really appeals to me with its bright bold colour and the I love the way it concenreates only on one colour, yellow - my favorite. The perspective which leads the eye into the photo give the viewer a good sence of depth. The curved walls and ceiling really attracts my attention and looks like it was taken with a fish-eye lense. The contrast between the black stairs and the yellow walls really give the shot a even balance in colour.
The only issue I have with this image are the lights on the roof which look a little strange and has causes the slightest flare - This probably could have been prevented with decreasing the shutter length but there has always got to be a compromisation between sharpness and lighting.

Overall a very nice picture, awesome job!
