I do get a gloomy feeling from this, but it's the sort of feeling you get just as you start coming out of it. Like you've been feeling gloomy all day and suddenly you see something which interests you or something which will cheer you up. That feeling of the mood lifting like a blanket off you.
It's like it's swallowing the sky which seems to add to the piece. Even from this distance you get the feeling that getting away from it isn't going to happen. It's already caught you and in someways you want it to swallow you. After travelling for what feels like forever you've found something which can take your imagination and dwarf it without so much as blinking.
So what do you want to do? Run back to the drab but safe spaces or go towards something that tears appart the sky and can grant you anything if you're willing to chase it?

Your comment about imagination reminded me of something. Since everyone is an individual with their own perception and understanding of the nature of reality, don't they create their own world within themselves? And if that's so, aren't there as many dimentions as there are minds to realise them? Dimentions exsit within and without. The key to unlock them is your imagination.

It's strange, I know you used a computer to design this but it looks like water colours or some kind of stone which produced this patten. Very thought provoking.
