Artist's Comments

**Edit- 2006/08/07

Now some time after this deviation that got so much attention I sit back and look upon my own creation. I feel the satesfaction and the pride to have actually made something that so many people have liked.
This actual image might not be the best of nebulas, I thought so then and I really think so now, but the reason it got so much spotlight I think where that it's a bit different from the usual nebulas, was before and still are.
This particular piece really opened up for me actually. For one thing `alyn loaned my work in an article he wrote about different ways to create nebulas.
People finally started to notice me around here. The most importang thing as for now is taht all the viewers from back then are still with me now  =D.

As for now I'v had some thoughts of doin a remake on this but at the same time I feel that why alter with something in the past when you should be preparing for the future ^^, ya know what I mean anyhow hehe.
I have the skills to make this piece seriously better in every way possible. The question is , why should I change it? I mean, what I made earlier I made earlier. People liked it then and such. Now afterwards i have the chance to make it better but for what reason...
People every day here on DeviantART post "remakes" of older works for numeros reasons which I don't generally like. I'm not really sure where I'm goin with this just about now only that I don't like when people make them remakes of older works. I get the feeling that alot of the times people wanna "cover-up" their past of not beeing as good as their current state or whatnot.
Isn't better and much more fun for the watchers to actually see the progress you'v made during your time here?.
In my opinion I'd easily say that I encurage people to keep their old works as well, so what if they aren't perhaps the most best lookin things ( not like all my works are good, not by far ), it's still a part of you and what you have been creating.

Felt like I had to say this in order to have this as my featured deviation :).
I keep it for 3 reasons.

1. Im proud over what I did back then.
2. It had such a positive effect all around me, woulden't change it for the world.
3. I got rewarded for using my personal style, nothing can compete with that.

Thats it for now, thank you for everything guys and girls, I love you all and hopefully I'll be able to make something worth a DD once again somehow, who knows ^^.

I'm home I'll atm so whats better than to open up photoshop and start be creative ^^.

Made entierly in PS with planets, colouring and lightning.
I tried a new technuiqe. I downloaded about 15-20 pics from the net of clouds, real clouds. Gave 'em a lill touch-up in PS then added colour and the puzzle work begun lol. I'm very pleased with the result.

Here is a 1280*1024 WP version of it as well for you who want one, slightly modificated. Better of course :D.

If there's a place in space that truly looks like this ... then I'm the saddest person on this planet for not having the luck to see it for real. (Suggested by `tigaer and Featured by `voodoo-prophet)

Well I would If I could. When u don't have the equipment for the job u have to take other soloutions. I get a camera soon as i get the money I'm waiting for. And about downloading the clouds images from the net, well, it is the first time I tried that. Just thought I should try a new style too see the result.

I don't get how It can be wrong with the shadow I'v used there... :?. When theres a light that strong as in the picture shown, shoulden't then the shadow be pretty dark since it's in the opposite direction? I mean, it's basic light isn't?. Alyns also said the shadow on it is wierd... can't just get it..

Thanks tho =)

hehehe, i was goin to add a spaceship but then realised that it would ruin the whole concept of it. It's a smooth, nice and warm picture in harmony with colours and light. Therefore no aliens =( .

hehehehehe
