Distant Future - Will we survive for 1000 years longer, is the end of mankind already set, have we gone too far? - I think no, we will survive.
Mankind has faced serious things in the past but this might be one of the toughest ones yet, global warming. My dream is for someone to look upon the sky, years from now and be able to witness this natural beauty.  I'v had this scene in my mind for quite some time. I wanted to create a scene that would represent a dream future for the human race, to be alive. I'v tried a slightly different nebula style here. I didn't wanted to have the original nebula that helps carry the image, I wanted a nebula to be a bit distant and hazed in the background so that it would appear mellow in the concept. First I drew it strong and hard but I blurred it and made it a bit diffuse for some experimental effect. The planet is one of my better ones so far I think. Didn't wanna make it too unreal, I wanted a little bit of realism. 1920x1200 1600x1200 1280 x 1024 1024x768 Made in Photoshop CS2. Enjoy!  Edit-Special thanks to ^cosmosue for the DD, thank you! Lighting on the top right is a tad harsh, but that may just be because of my monitor settings. Everything else is amazing. Been a long while since a good piece of space work's crossed my eyes.
This certainly made it worthwhile.
