Is this the future soon to be... Are we taking the right actions... How much time will it take to get back on track...
The industrial world we have today is no way ner perfect in any way. It provides work and brings in billions of dollars every day, but at what cost? As we stand today, in a challenge in time, we need to start working against the industry more and more. To provide laws and regulations on what should be done is not enough, not nearly. Money is money and big companies world wide wants it more than ever. Dare to go against them, dare to let Your opinion count and be heard, dare to step on the big toes needed for actions to be made, dare to be stron. It's Our world too, it's Our future and together it's Our planet, don't waste it. We have only one. Shot taken by the docks of Karlshamn on a very foggy evening. Only thing changed here is a tint of green from the original that was intense orange. what was your motivation to change the color from orange to green? Was it to altered the mood of the image?
I completely agree with your message, the deep question is how do you change something that has gone too far? Human demand to have things on the shelf is powerful. The camera which we take pictures with, and gives us such enjoyment has a carbon footprint on this Earth. Are some material things better than others? Another small example is trashed computer parts which are turning small villiages in China into toxic towns. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about this very topic. I am not sure what happen to us all. I think transportation technology could have been the start of the industry to go out of control. The shipping containers which stack nicely on ships, and trains letting us do international business trade in an effective matter is one factor. Perhaps Bill Hicks, stand up American comedian from the 80's 90's, was right about marketing people. If people in the marketing business were not so good at making people want to buy things, then perhaps the demand would not be as strong for the newest gadget. hey... I am not sure, I think the only way things will change is if they have to. I would like to believe it would be a choice. The mood of the image didn't change much when I tinted it more green compared to the orange it was before only this way I could attack it more easily on the story I wanted to smack to it basically.
I agree on where you stand on this subject and it's a roulette of death we're playing. Asking me I'd say we've already shot 3 of the 6 shots, all blank... so far. /rob -- [Homepage] [RedBubble] Previous Page123
