It's hard to beat the serenity autumn brings and pulls of year after year.
All around the world we all have our "own" spots for our serenity, this is mine, and I'm now sharing it with you.

Enjoy it,always.

Enjoy!

Despite having more of a preference toward warmer weather, I must admit there are few things in this world or any other that can emulate the somber ambiance and atmospheric peace of a calm autumn day. The crisp, cool air that flows around one's body, the colorful spectrum of leaves as they cascade from their elevated homes on tree branches, even the various autumn celebrations on our minds and the various decorations and preparations dazzle our minds for the anticipation of what joys they will bring. Even places that we may have visited before many times in our lives are suddenly transformed into a completely different place, as if an unknown force has altered the very area to be kissed by the subtle lips of the fall season; caressing the landscape and granting a view only seen during this magical season of fall.October, created by avid photographer *ladyrapid, invites us to view such a sight of fall beauty upon a lone fishing and boating dock as it sits within a placid, reflective pool of water with a forest adjacent. Quite a somber and peaceful sight indeed.

To start off, I have to compliment the very composition of the shot. It almost looks like I'm looking out a window onto this truly inspiring shot. You have really captured the still beauty of this scene as well an excellent level balance with the brightness and contrasting on the piece. It serves its purpose of bringing out the more hidden tones in the water while at the same time doesn't give the image a over exaggerated and unrealistic looking tone to it.

As I look deeper into the image, more and more of the piece just seems to come to life before my eyes. The trees, while still in the image, are gently swaying with the subtle autumn breeze as it nudges their canopies. How the water remains motionless and its surface unbroken by even so much as a stray leaf on its mirror like surface.

If there was something I could suggest it would be something that you could try with the shot. From what I can see here, the very angle just seems a bit derivative and just begs for a different twist on it. Perhaps emphasizing a better depth of field effect on the background and some of the foreground elements of the shot and focusing more of the water and the dock? Maybe even experimentation with different angles of shots on the piece would give you a new way to view your favorites in a similar but different light. Giving the shot a few alterations and tweaks could give this piece a breath of fresh air, while still capturing the natural beauty of autumn.

Ladyrapid's gallery has always been filled with eye-catching, and wondrous looking photos that displays his incredible skills in photography and this piece is a welcome addition to his growing photographic gallery. Congratulations Robin!

I've this spot before right?

Beautiful Rob!
Really like this one because I can really fell myself stand or sitting there. The few dry leaves make it very real.

Gr8 and intense shot:)
How often do you go there?

Yea it's the same spot used from a previous shot.
I go up to that lake once in a while, this is just the beginning of the lake and it goes on pretty far. I should be able to get a bunch of more shots from there during the next year as well, we'll see what mother nature can offer!
