Artist's Comments

Sitting on the train, on my way home from the xmas holidays, january 2nd.
Next stop is Mjolby, time to wait until next train continues approximately 1 hour. I walk around the station in search of any interesting things to shoot. I find these stairs with perfect conditions. Sun is hitting hard from above, dust and particles is in the air and small ray-shine searches it's way down towards the tunnel. Spot found!

I setup my camera and light.
Here I start to take some longer exposures to try capture strong movement but all the people walking up the stairs kept goin so slow.
The really strong red trail is from a shirt I was wearing while runnin up towards the top like a maniac. Was hard to get it lit properly to show but pretty decent in the end still.

This is a stitch from around 10 exposures so it's HDR, kinda.

There was a bunch of people who stayed for a while and asked me what I was doing and showed much interest in my little session here, was great fun!

PS CS4 for typo, vignetting & levels

You work with long exposure times. If you have the camera open (since when taking a picture the camera is open to take in light) for a long time it can register all the movement during that period of time. Here I took several shots since I coulden't manage to run all that far at once. Therefore it's the 10 exposures I've stitched together.

That's the most easy way to explain it I think =).

Glad you like it, thanks.
