Artist's Comments

It's impressive sometimes what just the basic growth have in strength. Even the most tiny flower can break through asfalt like a hot knife through butter on a warm summer day.
This I found alone, middle of nowhere. This I had to go dirty to capture, the leaves were muddy and wet plus the remains of the tree were just a couple of inches. This forced me to lay flat down my stomach and press my head down the ground so I could look through the viewfinder... dirty but well worth the shot!

Nothing beats close encounters with moder nature!

Into the Moonlight: Vol. I and II | Writing Goober

Your description is very much like something I saw today - I was out with my mother just helping her do things and such, and she was driving (I can't since I havn't bothered learning, but that's irrelevant) so I was free to look around from the passenger seat when I saw, alonside a busy road, a bank of hard clay-like soil that only Australia's most robust native plant's can survive in (Clay is very low in nutrients, rock hard when dry, and soggy when wet which harbours root-fungus) and yet - this tiny clump of flowers only about a foot tall and wide was just growing there on its own. The flowers are a common garden plant grown worldwide, I recognise their looks but don't know their name, but they certainly aren't found in the wild here, so the seed must have strayed from a nearby garden. And yet, In Australia's harsh climate, in poor soil and being along an unnattended roadside, the little plant still managed to flourish and flower - the brightest thing I saw on the street

Awww... Cute little plant. xD

With spring coming (or has come), it's nice that you have a (re)birth shot of life. :3

Amazing shot! Reminds me of that scene from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, when the 6th spirit, a plant, was the only visible life in the debris.
